What is the visible reveal between canvas and frame on an 11x14 floater?
The reveal sits at about 3/16 inch on all four sides, which is the standard floater gap that lets the canvas appear to float inside the moulding.
Can I use an 11x14 floater for an unstretched canvas?
No. The floater is designed for stretched canvas on stretcher bars. An unstretched canvas needs to be either stretched first or framed in a traditional rabbet frame with mounting.
