Mount stamps using stamp hinges (for used stamps) or archival stamp mounts (for mint, never-hinged stamps) attached to the archival backing board. Never use adhesive tape, rubber cement, or self-adhesive mounting corners on stamps, as these materials leave residue, stain paper, and can destroy gum. First day covers should be held with archival photo corners at the envelope corners.
