Skateboard Display Cases & Skateboard Deck Frames
A skateboard display case holds a complete board or a deck behind glazing in a shadow box built to your exact size, or mounts a deck on the wall as a framed piece. At CustomPictureFrames.com our skateboard displays fit standard decks and complete boards, with backing in your choice of color and clear framer's grade acrylic. They suit signed decks, first boards, and collector pieces. Standard orders ship in 3-5 business days. Open the shadow box designer to enter your dimensions and set up your skateboard display.

Custom Skateboard Display Cases

A complete-board case holds the deck with trucks and wheels attached, so it needs depth to clear the trucks plus a small margin. A deck-only case runs shallower, almost like a framed piece of art. For signed decks, clear framer's grade acrylic keeps the signature readable and the case lighter on the wall.
Skateboard Deck Wall Frames
A deck-only wall frame is the most popular build for collectors who want the deck graphic visible up close. Most decks are around 8 to 8.5 inches wide and 31 to 33 inches long, which gives you a clean tall vertical piece on the wall. Use a contrasting backing color to make the graphic pop, or match the backing to the dominant graphic color for a more uniform look.
We Frame More Than Skateboards

The shadow box approach handles more than standard decks. As one example, we built a custom display for a Back to the Future hoverboard, sized and seated against a custom backing inside a deep shadow box. Another customer asked us to combine a signed Tony Hawk photo with a Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 N64 cartridge and a retro TV screen still in one frame, the kind of mixed-media display the shadow box format is built for. If you have a one-off board, prop, or non-standard piece you want displayed, the designer can size to fit. See the sports memorabilia hub for more examples of unusual builds.
Add an Engraved Nameplate
Add the rider name, the brand, the year, or the deck title on a brass engraved plate. See finishes and layouts on the brass nameplates page.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a complete board and a deck display?
A complete board case holds the deck with trucks and wheels attached, so it needs more depth and slightly more width. A deck case holds the deck only and runs shallower, almost like a framed piece of art. Choose based on what you actually want to display: most signed and collector pieces are deck only.
Will this work for a signed deck?
Yes. Clear framer's grade acrylic keeps the case light to hang and the signature reading clearly from any angle, and it is the standard glazing for both signed and unsigned deck displays.
Can I wall mount the deck without a full case?
Yes. A deck wall frame mounts the deck against a backing with a shallow moulding around it, more like framed art than a deep shadow box. This is the most popular build for collectors who want the deck visible up close.
What sizes do you build?
Most skateboard decks are around 8 to 8.5 inches wide and 31 to 33 inches long. Complete boards run a couple inches longer with trucks. Enter your specific dimensions in the designer and the case will be built to match.
Can I add a nameplate?
Yes. A brass engraved nameplate (rider, brand, year, deck graphic title) mounts on the interior backing or the moulding face. See the brass nameplates page for finishes and layouts.
How long do skateboard displays take to ship?
Standard orders ship in 3-5 business days. Larger combined builds follow the same window in most cases. Every case is made to order at your specified dimensions and tracking goes out by email when the order ships.
