Preserve and Frame Your Wedding Bouquet
Most customers send a dried bouquet they preserved themselves, either by hanging the bouquet upside down to air-dry or by using silica gel. Other customers send bouquets that were professionally freeze-dried or pressed. We frame what you send. The shadow box is built to the dimensions you need and the bouquet mounts inside on a fabric-covered backing that holds the arrangement in place.
How Deep Should the Shadow Box Be?
Depth depends on the state of the bouquet. Use these as a starting point:
- Loose dried bouquet, full arrangement intact: 3 to 5 inches
- Tightly compressed or pressed arrangement: 1 to 2 inches
- Pressed petals only, no stems: 1/2 to 1 inch
- Bouquet plus a small keepsake (ring box, photo): add 1/2 inch

Backing Colors That Pair With Wedding Flowers
White and ivory backings suit soft palettes (blush, peach, cream, eucalyptus). Deeper colors like navy, sage, charcoal, and burgundy bring out the bouquet's warmer tones. Picking a backing close to the wall color the piece will hang on tends to look intentional in the room without overpowering the arrangement.
Add an Engraved Nameplate
A brushed brass nameplate mounts below the bouquet with up to three lines of text. Standard wording is the couple's names and the wedding date, often with the venue or city on a third line. The nameplate is set inside the frame so it sits flush against the backing.

Do you preserve the bouquet, or do I send it preserved?
We frame what you send. Most customers preserve the bouquet themselves by air-drying or using silica gel, or have it professionally freeze-dried. Once the bouquet is dried, ship it carefully and we build the shadow box around the finished arrangement.
How deep does the shadow box need to be?
A loose dried bouquet usually needs 3 to 5 inches of interior depth. A pressed or compressed arrangement fits in 1 to 2 inches. Measure the bouquet at its thickest point and add about 1/2 inch of clearance.
Can I include my invitation or a photo with the bouquet?
Yes. The designer supports multi-opening layouts so you can place the bouquet alongside an invitation, a vow excerpt, or a photo in the same frame. Add a mat with the openings you need.
How long after the wedding can I still frame the bouquet?
As long as the bouquet is properly dried, there is no hard deadline. Customers frame bouquets months after the wedding all the time. The bouquet needs to be fully dry before it goes into a sealed frame so no residual moisture stays trapped inside.
