Deep display shadow box frames are built for items that exceed the 1.25 inch depth of standard shadow boxes: helmets and jerseys, boxing gloves, military caps, three-dimensional sculptures, and stacked memorabilia. The collection runs from extra deep (two inches usable interior) up to ultra deep (3.5 inches usable interior). Profiles are available in modern matte finishes, traditional wood, and rustic distressed options to match the visual register of the displayed item.
Every deep display shadow box is built to your custom dimensions in our New Jersey workshop and ships with optional non-glare acrylic, acid-free mounting boards, and pin or hook hardware sized for the item being displayed. The deep interior also accommodates spacer mats and layered backgrounds, opening up presentation options that standard shadow boxes cannot accommodate.

What is the deepest shadow box available?
The ultra deep shadow box provides 3.5 inches of usable interior space, enough for a folded jersey with a stacked helmet, a thick boxing glove, or a small trophy. For items thicker than 3.5 inches, a custom build can be quoted by contacting CPF directly.
Do I need a deep shadow box for a signed jersey?
A standard jersey alone fits a two inch extra deep shadow box. If the jersey is stacked with a cap, helmet, baseball, or photograph, the 3.5 inch ultra deep is the right pick. Padded or thick winter jerseys also benefit from the extra depth.
Can a deep shadow box hold a helmet?
Yes, the ultra deep 3.5 inch shadow box is sized for full-size sports helmets, military caps, and stacked memorabilia. The frame is built to your exterior dimensions, and CPF will recommend an interior size based on the helmet measurements.
Are deep shadow boxes heavier than standard?
Yes. The wider sides and additional interior structure add roughly twenty to forty percent to the finished weight. Heavy-duty hanging hardware is included with every deep shadow box, and a two-anchor wall installation is recommended for frames over 20x20 inches.
