Why a Silver Shadow Box
Silver shadow box frames add metallic sophistication to medals, corporate awards, and achievement displays. Stainless finish in a clean modern profile.
Every silver shadow box is built to your exact size in our New Jersey workshop with archival backing and framer's grade acrylic, so three-dimensional keepsakes sit securely without pressing against the glazing. Choose the depth that fits your item, from standard profiles for flat memorabilia up to ultra deep for jerseys, helmets, and bulky collectibles. The metallic, elegant, modern character suits jerseys, medals, vinyl records, and milestone keepsakes alike.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the silver finish look like real stainless steel?
The brushed silver finish is specifically designed to replicate the look of brushed stainless steel through directional texture and metallic-pigmented coatings. From normal viewing distance, the effect is convincing. Up close, the frame reads as a high-quality metallic finish on a wood-based moulding rather than actual metal.
Should I choose gold or silver for my shadow box?
Gold and silver serve different aesthetic roles. Gold carries warm, traditional, ceremonial associations and works best in warm-toned interiors. Silver reads as modern, cool, and contemporary, pairing with neutral and cool-toned spaces. Consider the color of the objects you are displaying and the room they will hang in. Gold enhances warm-toned items; silver complements cool-toned and metallic objects.
Will the brushed texture collect dust or be hard to clean?
The brushed texture is extremely fine and does not trap dust any more than a smooth surface. The frame can be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth, wiping in the direction of the brushed lines. The sealed topcoat prevents dust from embedding in the surface texture.
What backing color works best with a silver shadow box?
Black and dark gray backings create strong contrast that makes displayed objects stand out against the cool silver frame. White backing produces a lighter, more open presentation. Navy or charcoal backings complement the cool silver tone particularly well. The frame ships with a neutral backing, and custom backing colors can be achieved with matboard inserts.
